More about David Caldwell and the book

During the time he was writing with the aid of a synthesised computer voice, because he couldn't read the typed script for himself, David decided to have it read by a professional so as to aid his proof reading, and after sending it to Birmingham Alabama to an ex-radio broadcaster, he was so impressed with the voice and the way the reader put emphasis on all the different characters, that with a few minor alterations to the story, and by adding in a few sound effects in key places, he was able to produce it as an audio book which lasts for almost 32 hours.

To his sheer amazement, it was only after the reader had completed more than half of the story, that David discovered he was totally blind

himself and was reading the text by listening to an auto prompter. So by revealing these facts and producing this book in its present format, David also hopes to inspire other blind people to take up the challenge and do something constructive with their lives. He also writes romantic poetry and lyrics to songs.
